After Hours: The Last Guest
A storm, a Highland hotel, and a knock at the door of room six.
▶ Now updated with video
A storm follows you forty miles up the west coast, to a single-track road along Loch Vorran and the Glenvore Hotel, dark except for one window on the first floor. Two other cars are parked below the porch.
The receptionist looks up as you come in, and her smile goes. She hands you the key to room six without asking your name. There is an envelope waiting for you at the desk, and the writing on it is your own.
Everything happens on your character's phone. Scenes arrive as short videos. The hotel telephone rings when it shouldn't. You search the rooms yourself and keep what you find. Be careful what you say, and who you trust with your key.
Now with video
Short film clips now play through the story, alongside the calls, messages, room searches and evidence board, all on your phone, with the hotel clock ticking in the corner.
Best with headphones
Rain on the windows, the old hotel bell, three slow knocks at the door. Play it late, with the lights down.
